CarrierPony is end-to-end encrypted messaging and file transfer for iPhone with no accounts, no phone numbers, and a relay that only ever sees sealed envelopes.
Boilerplate
CarrierPony is a private messenger for iPhone built on OpenPGP with modern Ed25519 and Curve25519 keys. Every message and file (up to 50 MB) is encrypted for the recipient and signed by the sender before leaving the device; a store-and-forward relay delivers sealed envelopes it cannot read and deletes them on delivery. There are no accounts — identity is a keypair generated on the phone, contacts pair directly and verify a safety number, and existing OpenPGP keys can be imported. The cryptography is PGPonyCore, open source under Apache-2.0. CarrierPony is developed by NorseHorse, the solo indie developer behind the Pony family of privacy apps (PGPony, AgePony, QuorumPony, RelayPony). It is free.

What makes it different
- It's OpenPGP — a documented, decades-audited standard — not a proprietary protocol, so the crypto can be checked against GnuPG.
- Identity without identifiers: pairing is key-to-key, not number-to-number, so there is no social graph to harvest.
- Indie scale as a feature: one developer, no growth team, no incentive to collect anything.
